1ST TRIP to Meacom's Pier
High Island Texas

Anthony with the first fish of the night. 41" not bad.

I had to show him what a real redfish looked like! (43") Yes, it was raining. HARD! Only the hard core or crazy know that redfish bite during a downpour. We might be a little of both.

First fish of the morning. 34" not bad. Good start. The conditions were really bad. The waves were breaking past the 3rd gut. (This fish was not hooked deep but was bleeding from his mouth)

Anthony then catches this 45" redfish. Look at that grin knowing he caught one bigger than his DAD.

Look at the spots on this fish. I have never caught a redfish like this one before.

I had to catch one more to try and beat Anthony! This 44" was not big enough to do it. I still landed one more than he did. We had a total of 14 runs this weekend. We landed five as you can see from the pictures. We lost three at the net and we (Anthony) missed the other 6 runs. Overall we had a great weekend. Meacom's has a little room you can rent right on the pier. We stayed out of the weather when it got really rough that night. We slept great! I will be posting more information about the pier, the room and a link to get there soon. Come back for more information.
