Now for the REPORT! The weather was sunny, hot and beautiful. Luckily we had some wind or we would have burned out there. The water was very muddy and we weren't sure the fish were there. I was told that the water on sunday was green all the way to the beach. A day makes a whole lot of difference. Redfish, sharks and jacks were caught off the beach buy several friends of mine just the day before. We had a real hard time catching bait. It was really slow. Not having fresh bait was a let down. We managed to buy the freshest bait I could find. So many people on the pier that they ran out of ice and I had to go find ice before I stated fishing. We landed 2 over size black drum that were 40" and" 38" long and two sharks and and Anthony broke off on the only mono leader we were using. It looked to be a good shark as it rolled on top of the water. We started using steel leaders as soon as we got there. We did not see to much action the whole time we were on the pier. We did see another fisherman bring in another Big Ugly on a small rod. Maybe the sharks are scaring the redfish and other fish away. Team C.B.F's scores again! I thank God for all my blessings and the opportunity to go fishing!
