Fishing with new freinds!

This trip was made to meet several people that are regular posters on Robstruelies.com and the other half of Team C.B.F. Henry Recio and family. Henry fell sick and could not make it. Hope you are getting better Henry! It was good meeting everybody. I now have faces to associate with the posts I read.

Shark #1 Albert catches his first shark ever. You have to start somewhere! Way to go Albert!

O.K. - Now you know what we do when we are not catching fish!

Now for the REPORT!

The weather was sunny, hot and beautiful. We had a north wind all day. The water was dirty but very fishable. We caught all the mullet you wanted in the wade gut. We managed only to catch one whiting on peeled shrimp. We had 4 shark break off on us. We fought one for about 2-3 minutes before it broke off. Two others broke off as soon as we tightened the drag. We saw the last shark jump 3 times before it landed on the line and broke off. I guess the cast out leaders weren't long enough. I need to find me a kayak so I can use a boat out leader. We saw 2 sharks in the 5 foot range landed an released buy others. Check out there report at Robstruelies Matagorda Report. The plan was to camp out on the beach and fish Sunday but the biting flies, horse files and mosquitoes sent us home to our mommy. We just enjoyed being out there on a beautiful day!
