The boys had prior commitments so I had to fish alone.
Could not waist such a BEAUTIFUL day.

1/18/03
Redfish / Drum Fishing
Surfside Texas

I catch the first Black drum of the day but could not get the camera to work.
Fish #1 about 33" and pretty beat up.

After a good fight I land this nice 40" redfish.
It is hard to take a good picture of a fish on the ground. This was the best I can do.

Fish #3
After even a better fight than the redfish caught earlier I manage to land this BIG Black drum.
I imagine it weighed about 35#s.
Thanks to Robert (AKA - Fishing with Miracle) I was able to get a good picture.

Now for the REPORT!
It was beautiful out there.
A little cold but manageable.
Robert and his crew were catching one fish after another. Way to go Robert.
Hope to make it back tomorrow to go another round with those brutes. Overall I had 3 runs and landed 3 over size fish. Not Bad since I did not get there until about 1:00.
All fish were caught on crabs and 20# test line.

I had such a good time on Saturday I had to go back on Sunday.
Not as much tidal movement as the day before but enough to produce this nice Black Drum.
