RULES & ENTRY PROCESS




You MUST have FUN competing in this tournament!

TARGET Species is the Red Drum, Redfish. Bull Red, Sciaenops Ocellatus.

Adult Entry is $30 / Kids Entry is $10 (FREE with Entry of parent or guardian)
$20 of the entry fee goes into the Adult pot and $10 goes into the kids pot.

Submitted = Caught. Photographed, Released and ALL photos needed emailed and received to qualify for this bonus.

ENTRY
1. To enter you can pay me in person or use PayPal using the friends and family option. If the friends and family option
is not used it will cost $33 with $30 (min) going to the pot. Entries will be accepted until Friday, December 1st, 2017 (12:34 pm).
The kids division will be free with entry of a parent or guardian.
If not the entry is $10 per child entry.
Up to 2 Child Entries per Adult entry.

ALL entries / Identifier requests after the start of the tournament will have a response delay of 1-2 days.

2. Participants (even FREE entries) MUST have requested and received a Unique Identifier prior to competing.
By requesting a Unique Identifier you agree to follow all set rules and release
the organizers, CBF Team Members, Family, Myself or Associates from ANY and ALL liability.

REQUIRED information is Your Name, Web Handle and Email Address.
(If you are competing in the Kid's Division)I need your date of birth.
Optional Information such as your Phone Number and Address would be appreciated.
ALL children fishing in the tournament must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and will use the same unique identifier assigned to their parent or guardian.

3. All Red Drums MUST be caught in accordance to the Rules and Regulations set forth by the
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
.
All Red Drums over 28" MUST be released in GOOD condition. If the Red Drums is kept it MUST be tagged in acordance to TPW Rules and it does not count in this tournament.

4. All Red Drums MUST be caught on ROD AND REEL.
No trot or hand lines.

5. All Red Drums must be caught between Wendsday, November 1st, 2017 (12:01 am) thru
Sunday, December 31st, 2017 (11:59 pm).
Entries must be submitted before Monday, January 1st, 2018 (7:34 pm) to be considered for a prize.

6. Catch Submittal:

The person that landed the fish is the ONLY person that can enter the fish into the tournament.

You MUST measure fish on an acceptable measuring device. (Don't RISK it!)

Five (5) pictures minimum are REQUIRED.

Photo 1) Full Shot of Fish BESIDE an acceptable measuring device placed on the ground.
Only needed if ends of the ruler are NOT clearly shown. Don't' Risk it!

Photo 2) Full Shot of Fish ON an acceptable measuring device placed on the ground.

Photo 3) Full Shot of Fish with ANGLER holding the fish. Touching the fish is acceptable
if the fish cannot be lifted safely.
(Hopefully this will be done only by the Ladies and Children.)
Horizontal fish pictures are PREFERRED.

Photo 3B (Opptional) If the ANGLER is a Child please get a group photo including the parrents, siblingngs, grandparents etc.
ALL other photos are still required.

Photo 4) Submit a Close up photo of Mouth closed and on the 0 mark on acceptable measuring device,

Photo 5) Submit a Close up photo of the Tail (With the tail fin compressed - as per TPWD Rules)
on acceptable measuring device would be beneficial to get the best measurement possible.

All measuring devices MUST be one continual length longer than the fish itself to get full length credit.

All pictures submitted need to have your Unique Identifier included in each picture.

The Unique Identifier will be a playing card. Once you know your

Unique Identifier you may want to laminate it and keep it with you.

If you are fishing and forget your Unique Identifier at home and you catch a
fish use a paper plate or such and write your card down on it and include that in you pictures.

No angled shots will be accepted. Take the picture while standing DIRECTLY over the fish.

When in doubt take multiple pictures.

Try not to send in bloody fish pictures. Clean the fish or shoot the other side.

Please DO NOT submit pictures of top less fishermen. (Men, Women or Child) Your entry will not be accepted.

All pictures/photos/entries submitted will become property of CATCHINGBIGFISH.NET to do as they wish.

You MUST email all entry submissions to Drum.Master@yahoo.com.

In your email submissions you must include the following:
Length of fish, Location the fish was caught, bait used and Time/Date caught.
Optional information may include - Conditions, Tides, Equipment and maybe a
little story of what took place.

All questionable pictures will be disqualified.

All decisions are FINAL.

7. NO MOTORIZED BOATS ALLOWED.
Kayaks are ALLOWED to fish out of but MUST
adhere to ALL parts of rule #6 above.
Take the best pictures and measurements possible. If you truly have a winning fish
take it to shore.
All decisions are FINAL.

8. No Fishing Guides allowed to participate in this tournament.
Guide services are allowed if ALL rules are followed.

9. Boundaries - ALL Texas jetties, piers, bays, dikes, coasts and State Parks.

10. This tournament pays out prizes for The following:
Adult Division with 20 or less entrants pays 1st (70%) and 2nd (30%).
Adult Division with 21 or more entrants pays 1st (65%), 2nd (25%)and 3rd (10%)
Children Division regardless of number of entrants pays 1st (50%), 2nd (30%)and 3rd (20%)
The child must be UNDER the age of 16 on the last day of the tournament. (Sunday, December 31st, 2017 11:59 pm)
to compete in the Kid's Division.

11. Raffle:
We will have a raffle at the end of the tournament for a $50 gift certificate and/or Prizes.
Every submitted Red Drums over 30 inches will receive one (1) raffle ticket.
Each angler is allowed up to five (5) raffle entries for fish over 30 inches AND under 43 inches.
BONUS raffle tickets will be given for every fish that makes the Monster Fish List.
Any Adult that wins 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the tournament will not be entered into the raffle.

12. Judging/Ties
This tournament goes by the longest single Red Drums.
All ties will be decided by earliest entry of catch.
If a tie still remains a flip of a coin will decide the WINNER.
All decisions are FINAL.

13. Entrants must be on good terms with CATCHINGBIGFISH.NET and associates.
CATCHINGBIGFISH.NET reserves the right to not allow an individual to enter,
as well as reserving the right to disqualify a individual for unsportsmanlike
conduct or becoming on bad terms with CATCHINGBIGFISH.NET.
This includes any form of cheating and not turning in all required materials, photos or information.

14. This is a Red Drums Tournament only. No other fish will be judged.
Any Red Drums OVER 43 inches will be posted in the MONSTER FISH list.

15. Only one prize per person will be allowed.

16. By entering / submitting your personal information and email address you are agreeing to receive
mail outs. Discount coupons and solicitations from CATCHINGBIGFISH.NET

17. NO commercial fishermen allowed.

18. The sole judge and owner of this tournament is NOT competing in this tournament.

19. CATCHINGBIGFISH.NET reserves the right to modify, change or add rules as deemed
necessary anytime during this tournament without warning or notice.
